Tarun and Rinu came to us with a clear and personal brief: design a warm, functional home for their parents that works around the family's collected furniture and cherished pieces while bringing in the comforts of modern living. The living area was designed around the heirloom furniture, placing it front and centre against a calm, neutral shell. Clean-lined media cabinetry with woven accents and softly lit display ledges keep the space serene, giving artifacts and memorabilia room to be seen without competing with the overall design.
The kitchen pairs timeless finishes with modular efficiency, sleek high-gloss cabinetry, continuous under-cabinet lighting, and a patterned backsplash that adds character without cluttering the palette. Black granite counters provide durable, low-maintenance surfaces, while pull-out organisers, dedicated appliance bays, easy-reach hanging rails, and integrated storage across every corner deliver a compact, ergonomic workflow that feels open and easy to use. The result is a home that holds the family's history in one hand and modern convenience in the other, without either one getting in the way of the other.
